I had full intention on running the Indy intake with the adapters until I actually lined up the adapters to the heads. the B1 port is quite a bit larger in size and I would hate to hinder any potential flow. I wanted to run NSS, which would mean running the Indy intake with the adapters. However, like most of us on here I'm a total speed junky and want my motor at its fullest potential. Looking for 8.90's. Decisions......decisions.

Though not to nostalgic, a tunnel ram is legal now. The only constraint is getting it below the 5" maximum height scoop. Even sheet metal tunnel rams are legal if you dial 9.25 or quicker.

1.21 INTAKE MANIFOLD

INTAKE MANIFOLD: Sheet metal intake prohibited. Manifolds restricted to
commercially available cast units. Top of manifold lid may be modified and fabricated as
necessary to accommodate carburetor placement.

Sheet metal units permitted in AAAA/FX, AAA/FX, AA/FX, and AF/X ONLY.

Maybe I'm missing something....
Why don't you just make up a template from the heads port and transfer it to the spacers, then attack them with a die grinder?
Make sure you open up the intake to match as well....

Obviously there will be some port matching involved, the port velocity will be changed significantly. The B1 port is probably 20% larger than the Indy port, just trying to decide if it's worth the loss.

Why even bother? A Indy will make more with a tunnel ram than the cross ram. Unless you're sick like me trying to go fast with Cater/Eddy on a "Rat Roaster" Run the tunnel ram.

I have the same intake.

Open up the intake & spacers, maybe have someone with a flow bench, that knows what they are doing, flow them for you, see if they will work for your specific combo or just replace them with something better, with the correct port configuration & carb combo, to fit what your trying to do, with those specific B1 heads... But to run in the 8.90's, it better be right & in a light car too, it ain't cheap {as you probably already well know} & parts better be matched nearly perfectly, to get those type #'s... good luck & have fun, Happy Moparing

Adam.i'll swap you for my 572-13 heads. mine flow [email protected] then you wont need the spacers. I want to get out of my indy parts and go in a different direction. even my pistons to match the heads. all top notch parts.
Mine were all redone over the winter.
