Backglass attachment

How is the backglass attached? Is it glued right to the metal or shall it be a rubber gasket to get the right height to the mouldings? Otherwise it seems that it will mount to low. :confused:
 
i don't think it was set with a rubber gasket.i sure they only used sealant and the trim should be even with the body when installed.
 
i personally would spray a primer over the metal lip before i glued the window in, you dont want bare uncovered metal or your just asking for rust and if you already painted the lip i would scuff it up with some 320 grit sandpaper to give the urethane a little extra to bite into
