Backin Plate Question....

I am fixin to swap a later B body 8 3/4 rear axle into my 65 Coronet that now has the tapered 8 3/4 rear axle in it. Can I use the early rear axle backin plates on the later 8 3/4 non tapered axle housin? Thankya.

Yes, yes you can. Im using the 64 backing plates on my slightly narrowed 68 housing, no problems!!
