Alright, I test fitted some 15x8.5 mags with what I believe was 4.25 backspacing. As you can see, the rims are quite far from the leaf springs, and stick out just enough to the point where they would rub with suspension travel. These rims came from a duster, and fit fine on that car. The tires on the rims are 275-60-15.

Now, my question to you guys, is can a guy run a 15x10 rim on these car with the right backspacing? And can with either a 10" or 8" rim run 295-50-15's without rubbing with the right backspacing? And what would that backspacing be? Any pics of your rides with similar setups? Thanks!

I ran a 15 x 8 1/2 centerline with a 4 7/8 backspace on my 74 b-body and it fit well.
The tire was a L-60-15.

Thanks for the replies. Moparmike, any idea where a guy can get 10" rims with 5" backspacing?

Obviously stock looking rallye or magnum 500, or even raw steel.

I am sure I could order a Weld in such a combo. Thanks.

Think Stockton and Wheel Vinteics [spl?] have them. nee to get a pair a Rallye myself.

I found em' from wheel vintiqoues, thanks.

Question being, should I run the 5" or 5.5" backspacing? I would think the 5.5" would be better to center the wheel as much as possible. Your ideas?

15x10 295/50's

well i went with 5.5 bs. worst case scenario I can use a 1/2 inch spacer.

15x10 5.5" backspacing, and I still have 1/3" space between the leaf spring and the sidewall, as well as 1/2" between the top of the tire/sidewall and the wheelwell lip.

Whew' I was worried that i should have went with 5" instead of 5.5! Glad you posted this.

I went with the 15x10 5.5" BS mopar rallye's from Wheel Vintiques.

I'll post some pics to help other guys when I get them on. I'll be running 295-50-15 BFG T/A's on the street, and MT slicks for the track.

Use offset hangers and can get about 12" meats in there. Move the springs and tubs in and get 16" meats

Racedodge, with that little bit of clearance you do not have the tire scrubbing on either the spring or the fender lip on cornering? My car, '73 Roadrunner, will ride 1 1/2 to 2 inches lower than stock.

nope, no rubbing at all, absolutely zero sidewall scrapes. I have HD springs, pinion snubber, and monroe budget shocks to boot.

Well, just got my rims from Wheel Vintiques, and my tires. Had a buddy mount them for me. I don't have the trim rings and wheel stuff on the rims yet, just bare for picture.

Rear 295 50 15 on 15x10 mopar rallye, and front 245 60 15 on 15x8 mopar rallye.
