Bearing retainer size of A833?

Hey Fella's,

What size is the standard A833-23 spline bearing retainer from 1969. Looking to purchase a lakewood with the larger bearing opening, but i'm not sure if I need to order the adapter kit from brewers.

307 front bearing, 4.805" outside diameter

70 and up had the 308 bigger bearing with same size retainer, 1964-1967 had 307 front bearing, 4.354" outside diameter

best way would be to write down the number that is on the actual bearing retainer to make sure it is correct

As long as it has the larger diameter it should be fine-which it looks like it should, if not, i'll be making a call to brewers. Thanks!

worst comes to worse there is plenty of meat on the retainer if you need to machine a little off to fit, or lie wise on the bellhousing

My recollection is that the Lakewood housing is drilled for the large retainer and came with a reducer ring so that it would fit both.
