I'm planning on having my 1966 Plymouth Satellite Convertible completely restored to factory original, or as close as is reasonably possible and practical, along with a few upgrades for safety, reliability and drive-ability (e,g, disk brakes, electronic ignition, fuel injection, better cooling).

For those of you who have had their cars restored, curious as to who you might recommend in the way of a restoration company doing outstanding work on Mopar. What excellent experiences have you had? Equally important, what bad experiences have you had? I'm in southeastern Washington State so prefer reasonably local area shops, but willing to entertain elsewhere in the country.

I know, when completed, the car will not be worth the money I put into it, but that's not the point. I've owned it since I was a 22 year old kid some 54 years ago green behind the ears. When I'm gone it will be passed on to my son and his sons someday. Not for sale anyway. Thanks...

When "the best" has been brought up over the years, the name I keep reading
and seeing is Roger Gibson. He does concourse work on extremely rare model Mopars
and has for a long time now and is considered an "authority".
I shudder to think what he charges??

Greetings from Upstate NY. If you want to stay close to home might I suggest visiting some cruise ins or car shows and ask owners of nicely restored cars their recommendations. I found a great paint shop 10 minutes away by asking a friend. I did all the deconstruction on my ‘66 Belvedere, he did the body and paint in 4 weeks and now I’m putting the car back together. Like you, I’ve had the car for over 30 years. My son is getting it when the time comes. Good luck with your build. Should be a nice car when done.

T/A restorations in Eldorado Il., Troy Angelli does dang nice work! None are cheap but you usually get what you pay for. Finer details is under new ownership and did a stunning 71 Challenger ragtop that I studied a lot a couple years ago at Mopar Nats in Columbus . I was pleased, so was the owner as she bought the car new and it was a one owner car.. I like TA a lot and I know folks that know him and his family, good folks and very trustworthy. The do a lot of Mopars and a lot of high end stuff.. I’m going that way on mine.
Welcome from Illinois!

Welcome from Missouri!!

Isn’t graveyard cars south of you in Oregon. No idea what that guy charges or how long it takes.

Most bad experiences involve the length of time it takes to complete. Sometimes years. If you see the shop and they have 1-2 guy working on cars and a bunch of dusty cars on the side, run. Get an idea of the turn around time from past customers and reviews.

Agreed however Dave Rea left the show and has a resto shop out there. DB restorations in Cottage Grove Oregon.
That dude knows his Mopars. Roger Gibson if money and location is of no concern.

Agreed and agreed. I just know he gets it done, which is a problem for a lot of shops these days, and he’s probably totally expensive. Like it and or him or not, he does seem to do nice work.

Maybe look into DB..
