Going to talk to my engine builder tomorrow but wanted to get some opinions here first. What would be a good set of rockers for the current setup? Here's what we have so far.

440 bored .30
Speedpro pistons and forged crank
Eddy rpm intake and trick flow heads
Comp cams extreme energy hi lift hyd flat tappet 241/247 @50
Rhoads lifters

If this engine is going to see extended periods at high rpm, rollers are the way to go.

Ductile Iron Adjustable rockers, pretty much unbreakable. I've heard WAY too many horror stories with inexpensive roller rockers for the small net HP gained. If you want the roller setup, for $700 (1.5 Ratio) $800 (1.6 Ratio) you can get Harland Sharp's. They are the only brand I would trust, but quite a waste for a standard hyd. flat tappet setup.

Harland's are the best, but I agree with above. Kind of a waste to use em on a hyd flat tappet. A set of comps would work fine for that..

Hi Glew, following the specs you provided I would say you have a hot street and maybe strip engine and I would want at least ADJUSTABLE rockers for several reasons and the iron M/W type work great without the horrors of lower cost roller rockers and their early demise. The iron rockers I have used were Iskendarian and Crane and ran at 6500 and up and never lost lash once! matter of fact I just changed to rollers last season and believe I picked up some decent power over the old style and smoothed things out all thru the range that I attribute to better/correct geometry. I thought long and hard about T&D but chose the HUGHS because were not running a huge cam and real heavy springs and the Hughs work great and after last season they still look great after numerous 6500+ rpm runs at .545 lift with tool steel solids with the EDM hole in the lifter face. good luck

I went with ductile iron rockers, but I can't speak to durability since I probably have 15 miles on them.

Yeah the first thing on my mind were the steel rockers so I guess I'll stick with that. I thought about going full roller but heard it isn't really worth the cost for a street driven car.

I have a set of Crane gold rockers that have been in my 500 ci RB solid lifter cam for many years lots of 6500 plus on the oval track...never any problems

I have run Isky iron rockers with a 585 lift cam for a long time at 6500 + rpm. They did get galled after time. I used Crane roller tip rockers at 7000 rpm & they held up fairly well. I'm now using Hughes & they seem to be great.

I also use Hughes roller tip rockers and they are working great. Been in my eng since I built it and put it in my car in 2011 and they hold adjustment fine. Ron

I went with Harland Sharp on my last build as recommended by Racer Brown. 1.6 intake and 1.5 exhaust. I was told they are the only manufacturer that will sell a set like that.

I like the old style Isky 1604's, ductile iron adjustables with the valve tip pad on them. Don't think they make that particular rocker anymore but they still show up on Ebay etc from time to time and I found a new in the box set at a swap meet a few years back for 100 bucks. Ran a set on a 440 that saw 7300 every pass (for 300 passes) running a .660 lift Isky roller cam and they stayed adjusted. However, a buddy couldn't keep his adjusted with a .600 lift solid flat tappet cam.
