Best wax..here we go

I'm sure I'm going to get a LOT of opinions but I'm going to ask anyway. What wax are you using?

I don’t have a favorite, but I got a few bottles of each major brand. I do love the shine I get from meguiars my spring process usually goes clay bar, polish, wax. Keep the shine up throughout the season with meguiars quick detailer and quick wax.

I find for the price and availability Meguiar's Ultimate line is pretty damn hard to beat. It offers a good shine and decent protection and my only real complaint is that it doesn't seem to last too long on my daily drivers, but on my Satellite it fits the bill. Sure there are better products out there, but for an average detailer like myself it's good. '67 hit the nail on the head, make sure you start with a clay and polish for best results.

Man these days when you walk in the detailing aisle it is a sea of choices......Pricing varies from crazy to reasonable......

I do not want a product I have to order whenever I need to replenish but I want an all around good product at the local auto store for a decent price...Easy to apply, easy to remove and durable....

I too have enjoyed the meguiars products but want to see what others have to offer...

Been checking around and the pro's are recomending this: Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax. Check it out on the web at https://www.pinnaclewax.com/souveran.html
I've never used it but it would have to be good at that price! Anybody tried it?

You can't beat Meguiars. I get mine from the auto paint supplier or NAPA. Walmart sells Meguiars but it's not the same in the Red bottle.

Owning a couple of white vehicles, the heavier waxes will hold dirt. After a period of time you can see the paint getting dingy. Useing a cleaner to remove the old wax, you'll see the difference.

Meguiars sells the "Cleaner Wax" that removes old wax and dirt then replaces it with a thin coat of wax. This does better because it's not very thick and doesn't absorb dirt like the thicker waxes. It will last for about 6 months out in the elements, longer if its garage kept. When it's time to wax again, it will do the cleaning and leave behind the wax needed for another lenth of time without any additional build up. Easy on, easy off.

I've used Surf City Garage Barrier Reef Carnauba Liquid Wax and many other products made buy them for years now on my cars with great success.

carnauba was is the best for all finishes . been using it for years . a fresh coat on a duster i did for a customer . even the satin black . never leaves a white residue or film .

Griots Garage paste wax (40.00) work's very well for the last three years for me on my 29 year old repaint clear coat. The best its ever looked and I have tried many many waxes.40.00, It has done the car 12 times and there is almost half left. The best of show works great on my two subaru's modern paint for some reason 20.00

The Griots stuff does work well. I am a huge fan of liquid glass as the more coats you put on the better it looks. It can also be put on in the direct sun without issue. Jax Wax also has some great stuff. That's what I'll switch to when my supply of liquid glass runs out. Having a black car makes wax choice very important.

Try driwash. You'll never go back.

I have always liked a paste wax better than spray on. Many brands but regular old time turtle wax paste seems to hold up for several wash jobs. goes on ok and the wipe off takes some effort but I still think you get a better wax job with a paste and better protection to bugs and tree sap ect.

I used about all the pinnacle product they are pricey by the container but you can get about 30 waxes per container about $3.00 a wax job. Great Wax
