I was wondering if it was safe/OK if I run radial slicks w/ bias front runners?

I have the M/T sportsman front runners. I think they are bias? I am thinking about running radials on the back. I thought that I heard along time ago that you shouldn't mix the two.

It's no problem at all.I just bought a set of 30 x 10.5's of Hoosier Radial slicks with my Moroso drag specials.

Chris is right.... no problem, we were running bias fronts and radial slicks.

matter of fact. I'm getting my hoosier radial slicks mounted this week on a 10" rim.
I also went with a 29.5-10.5 M/T bias slick on a 12' rim for the
1st time.
these are going on the 65 hemi Belvedere.
I do love my moroso drag specials for the front.

IIRC, it's the other way around is what they say you shouldn't do but imo, that's for morons who don't know how to drive.

SuperStockRacer, You hit on another one of my questions.

I was going to ask about running a 10.50W on a 12" rim. I heard that it will give you more tread on the ground by making the slick more straight up and down(less sidewall bulge). Chris what Backspacing are you using on the 12" rims? 8-8.5"?

TRUE OR FALSE

mine are weld aluma star 2.0 15 x 12 with a 5" back spacing. i cut my axle tubes short enough to get a 5" back space to fit perfectly. i am now running a 15 x 10 with a 5.5 backspacing with plenty of room on the wheelwell side.
dont go by mine because the rear is not a stock length.

I have a stock length rearend in my 65'Coronet and I run10.5wx29.5 on a
12" rim. It has a 7" backspace to the inside.
