Not sure if year makes a difference but I don't care if it's metal factory or the $50 one above mines not factory at all so if it would be helpful to you rc I'll send you mine if you wanna buy me the one above
I know you like stuff stock

My motor is a 76 440 so let me know I can pop pan off and make sure of condition ....

The one with the molded in gaskets intrigues me, but I've used that same style on a transmission pan and it still weeps.

Is there even a windage tray in a '76 engine..
I have seen some in police cars. They also had block heaters in them here in the North East..

I just installed this one. I haven't tested it yet, but hoping to have it fired up early next week.

Edit: sorry Richard, I didn't look to see who ask the question. I know you already seen my post.

I tried one of those. I couldn’t get the pan off because it was hitting the k frame so I had to send the car into town. They put the tray in and it leaked like crazy. You can see what happened in the picture. Not sure why the seal bulged out at the bolt holes. I contacted summit and they sent me a new one. Haven’t put it in yet.

RC...I have put 2 into my BB engine builds and both came from Summit. I also used a Cometric Gasket to help with sealing. No runs, no drips, no leaks at all. I would be leery of the type you listed here. Just my take is all. The ones from Summit worked great and installed easily. I prefer to keep it simple when and if I ever build another engine...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

The metal windage tray and 2 gaskets are a pain to install under the car. I switched to the double O-ring style from Summit, as well, and made sure my oil pan flange was straight and clean and I have no leaks.

They probably over torqued it as most do with oil pan bolts and valve cover bolts...

I have torn down 4or5 stock stroke engines with OEM trays in them. Have switched them to 4.250 or bigger. Is what you are looking for a stock [ 3.750 stroke ] . All B & RB & 426 Hemi have the same bolt pattern. If you are looking for that type text your zip code to my phone and I can get a shipping rate. Thanks Mike

But there are metal "grommets" around the bolt holes that are suppose to prevent overtightening and I'm pretty sure we confirmed that the bolts were only to be tightened to 15 lbs.

That's good most just put them on with air tools...

Well I thought I still had a few extras but I guess I'm down to one. Not the nicest one out there.
Just has some mild surface rust except at the back end were it has some pitting. I cleaned it up a bit with the wire wheel so you can see it. Probably will require some sealant. It's yours for shipping if you want to mess with it.
