Ok guys,

Looking for some opinions. Currently building a 440 Wedge wannabe for the '63 330 wagon and have a stock oil pan that needed some modifications(dents) to clear the tie rod.

The car will see light to moderate strip use and lots of street use.

Thinking about a larger volume oil pan....is it necessary? What do you think?

if your going to rev it up the extra capacity is good insurance.

I have a high volume oil pump and figured a deeper pan was a good investment. I have only one issue with my Milodon deep pan......road clearance. I ended up fabbing a skid plate patterned after a later B body hemi plate.

this isn't a very good pic, but i fabbed a "track" type pan for my '65. it has kick outs on the sides and holds 7qts. plenty of road clearance.

I like the extra oil since I race my 63 some. I use a 8 qt Moroso pan that fits with no mods at all. Ron

Sounds like extra volume is the way to go...I already have the high volume oil pump. Would you happen to know which 8qt Moroso pan you have? No clearance issues sounds like a great way to go! Cheers

I will try to see if I can look up the part #. Ron

I believe that the Milodon 31010 and the associated extended pickup is what you are looking for. This one is specific for the 62-65 chassis.

So I have the Milodon 31010 and we'll see how that fits.

Thanks for all the input.

I picked up 30930 from Milidons booth at the MATS. Fit right into my suitcase. LOL
No duty, no taxs and no shipping to pay.

:hijacked:(well, the ninja part for you, the thread hijacked part for me )

since we're on the subject of oil pans...:eusa_whistle:

anybody here know if mildon makes an 8 qt oil pan for a 68 440? with kickouts?? roads are real rough here in Chicago (thanks Gov Quinn) and im sure i would bottom that bastard out at the wrong time.

63wagon, once you get 'er in take pics, please!! :icon_sunny:

I apoligizse as I forgot to post the Moroso pan #. It is actually a 7 qt pan and the part# on Mancini's site is "MOR20760". And as I stated it fits with no mods at all as it fits right into the K-frame with no problems. Ron
