Is the pulley position on all power steering pumps the same. I added power steering to my 440 and I can't seem to find a crank pulley that lines up with the pump pulley. Is it possible there is a difference in pumps and there pulley? I've now bought a two groove and four groove pulley that are for big blocks. I know the 4 groove is for a/c but the pump should still line up with one of the grooves.

If you can shim out the pump with a washer or two, and it lines up, then you are ok. Use a straight edge or whatever will fit and a tape measure to make sure you are lined up true. Ideally, you want the acc to be mounted as close to the face of the block as possible, to reduce any undue stress on the crank. And yes, there are different pumps, different brackets, and different pulleys. Some are press-on, so you can vary their mounting depth... Pics?

If you have a mid-late 70s block you may need the longer style bracket, more info please.
