Does anyone have a pair of the big block valve cover spacers for iron heads so the stock valve covers will clear roller rockers that they will part with ?? If not does anyone know of anybody making them ?? I contacted the guy that used to make them ( topside340 ) but he is not making them up anymore. He told me that someone on the Moparts site was doing it now, but he did not remember his name and I guess I'm just too dumb to figure out how navigate that site to find him on that website HA! HA! HA! Please let me know if any of you guys can help me out with this problem. Thanks in advance, Charlie.

Which roller rockers are you using that don't clear, just curious?? Where do they hit?

OK, I'm going through the 25th heat cycle tightening to prevent leaks. BB valve covers. Good luck.

an alternative is the chrome covers that summit sells. they aren't stock appearing but work well for rocker clearance, are a little stouter than stock and aren't expensive.

Thank you to all for your help on this, the engine is actually a good friend of mine's that is computer challenged and asked me to find these for him. Therefore I don't really know the specifics on the brand of roller rockers or where they actually hit, but his engine builder told him he was going to have to find a pair of them. Badvert's reply appears to be a good one and I'll try them. Carnut's reply is for the place that I mentioned in my first post on this subject ( Topside340 ) and I've spoke with him and he is no longer making them anymore. I could not get the valve covers on my max wedge heads to not hit and they leaked at the ends.

I glued two gaskets together....still was hitting and rocking back and forth on something..also ends leaked.

Guess what? top of each head (at the valve cover sealing area/ridge/flange) was cast with a noticeable upwards bow. I put a straight edge on them and the old sand casting was raised at least 1/8 inch.......which makes that valve cover rock like a teeter-totter...about 3/16 on the ends.............no wonder the ends leaked.

They are going in the milling machine for a buzz.

The valve cover never was hitting the rockers, I don't think (Crane golds)

Hope this helps someone.

@65satelliteman Any update on how Medice Mfg's valve cover spacers worked out for your friend?? Did he use them? Any leakage issues, or plug and play?? Anybody else gone this route to gain some clearance?? I have something going that I really want to try and retain as much of the stock look as I can (to a degree). TIA, Lefty71

Lefty71----In my last post on these valve cover spacers was in touch with the guy I got tghem from, but he told me that he is no longer making anymore of them. The friend I got them for has never complained of any oil leaks. So I guess if you could find a pair that he built that someone didn't use, I'm pretty sure that they will work out good for you. Sorry I couldn't be of more help and good luck, Charlie.
