I'm currently running a pair of 29x12.5x15 MT Sportsman Pros on 15x8 wheels

They look and hook great, but man they wear quick on the street and take a lot of weight to balance with tubes :eusa_doh:

My original plan was to get 15x6 steelies with redlines all around (actually, that's still the plan), but funds are low and so is the tread on the Sportsmans, so I'm looking into DR's

In the past, I've had BFG, Nitto and MT DR's on other cars and found BFG to be garbage, Nittos last the longest and MT hooked the best.

Since Nitto doesn't have a comparable size, I guess I'll be going with MT's

As of now, the 29x12.5x15 Sportsmans fill the wheel wells nicely and don't rub, but come extremely close to it.

MT makes two comparable sizes

295/55/15 (28x12.5x15) and 295/65/15 (30x12.5x15)

Both have smaller section widths than my current tires, so I know I'm safe there and I'd want to go with the taller 30" tire as she's geared pretty low, but here's the issue....

I recently replaced the Super Stock leafs with stock height replacements, so I'm not sure if my current 29" Sportsmans would've rubbed with full tread.

Is anyone here running 30x12.5x15 stock height and uncut?

sounds a bit tall for stock hight, but you should be able to check with your worn tires in place.jack car up on jack stands(put them on the diff tubes so car is at ride hight) and make sure you have more then 1 1/4 inch clearance on top of tire.also check with each side jacked up independently.that will check for any rubbing when the rear goes over some thing on each side.remember to check all the way around the top radius for any spots that may hit.factory wheel wells are not round.

That's what I'm worried about.

The Sportsmans have a rounded contact patch and even though they have a larger section width, probably fit the wheel wells better than the flatter DR's
