Thanks for sharing... Being a true car guy, I love these type stories, no matter what brand or make they are talking about... That's a freaken' very cool story & too bad he didn't sell earlier {he's in his 90's} so he could have enjoyed the benefits of his sell iconic car collection $$$$... The article said, "he didn't finance his cars on the lot, he paid cash, he didn't sell his new old stock, when the newest model came out, supposedly he kept them"... Damn it would be great, could you imagine, to be able to get a new old stock 57 Bel Air Fuelie HT or whatever strikes your fancy... Wish I lived much closer, I'd like to go to that auction, truly a great barn find, an urban-legend, car lovers dream, come to life, than I'd go across the street & play some golf...LOL...
 
i agree with you Budnicks, not only selling while he was younger, but also the classic car market was better some years ago=more $$$
