I have a 69 runner i just redid the dash the bird on mine was on the left of roadrunner emblem but all of the one I see is on the right was it a set standard or just where they felt like putting it? any help would be great

I'm sure there were instructions where to put them, but all the 69's I've had have had them to the right of the name plate

was ther one one a 68 was it poss that it was change in 69 that this was an early production 69 car?

Possibly. I don't remember for sure. But the 68s had a totally different bird inside and out. They weren't in color (you probably already knew that)

Here you go. This is an original 69 sticker as installed at the factory.

Yes, the 68 has a black and white bird and it's the same bird as on the doors. The only color bird on the 68 was on the optional trunk finish panel.

It's been said here before that these cars were built in the 60's, and the most consistent thing about 60's cars is they are inconsistent.

You should put it back in the factory location even if it's wrong according to the book. Just helps preserve the quirkiness of the old iron - plus it can make for good conversation at a show.
