Anybody have an effective method if keeping sparrows and starlings out of a winter storage shed. I'm sick of my putting 3 layers of tarps on my toys to keep the **** off them. I've tried various methods.

An owl statue will work for a while... You might have to move it around every few months.....

It's a fairly tight building on concrete. I will try that. Would about poisoning the bastard? Any ideas

Poisoning anything is cruel[except shitbag people]. Look for light entering your building....that's how they get in. Or, you leave the doors open too long.

How many birds will continue to do what they're doing?....and they all ****. Fix the holes.

Rats and sparrows are both disease harbingers. I used to have a pest control company. Whatever they used worked. I decided to quit paying their 250$/month fee. So here we are. The holes are fixed it's a tight building. It's not as though they're an endangered species. I silver the rat problem with bait. Birds are next on the list

There used to a product called Rid-A-Bird, came with perches that you doped, worked GREAT! Don't think it's available anymore. Fake owls don't work. A BB gun does. You just have to find where they get in and plug it. If people knew how much damage sparrows and starlings can do inside a building they wouldn't be so kind.

You either have holes, or leave the doors open. They don't "transport" themselves into you building. I rarely even get mice into my buildings, and we've backed up to farmland.

At a past place of employment they tried everything legal in a city limits. Found dry rice worked the best, thins the population real fast. Just feed the crap out off them and be prepared to shovel up dead birds.

After many years of experimetation discovered plan old dry rice to be the best way to comtrol thier population. Feed them real good and be prepared to dispose them little pupers.

They can get in under the doors through small cracks. To seal an out building air tight is virtually impossible. As far being "backed up to a farm" goes I'm a step farther and live on a farm. Mice and rats I've managed to control with mothballs and dryer sheets. These birds are just as destructive and a whole lot messier.

I will try that idea. I only use poison as a last resort. Your method eliminates the possibilty of accidental or secondary poisonings.

Owls work at our place, Used to have them flying in and out the shop door, nested in the motorcycle helmets...
Once in a blue moon well have a sparrow fly through...
Maybe our birds are dumber than yours...or maybe our owls are more badass!!! Lol!

Dirty birds. It's only this one building. I have several and it's only this one building. Kinda bizarre
