Been thinking about blasting my car but have also been thinking about going into business with it in the Houston area. A buddy of mine sent me a link to this http://www.sodaworks.com/pages/products.php
You use plastic for cars with a sprinkle of AO, right? I know a little (and I mean very little) about blasting but have mostly used blast cabinets with fine glass beads and a Wheelabrator with a rotary table using steel shot where I used to work. I really miss the Wheelabrator and many other machines there lol. Anyways, I'm thinking about going mobile. Is the soda blasting the only media that's allowed by the EPA? What's your take on this? I need to go back to work but I won't do it unless I'm the boss....no more working for moron stupidvisors :D

Got no idea about what the EPA says or 'allows', in fact, I think that's not a correct phrase "what the EPA allows". It's all local municipalities that car what you do, for me, it's the San Antonio Riverwalk Authority. However, the Riverwalk still looks like a sewer with or without me, and I'm 20 miles away from this tourist attraction. Getting started is $$ expensive, but, I hear there are no Media Blasters down in Houston!?

Also, the main concern governments have is that you are in a contained environment and not doing it outside. Also, Soda Blasters get more attention b/c they spew it out in the open for all to see, then, they start thinking 'hum, Baking Soda, I wonder how that will be once it gets back in the environment'?

Good luck, and keep me posted on your progress!
