anyone have a pic of the bulkhead connector slot the blue fusible link from the starter relay goes too? also where do i find a replacement link? thanks

Well it's not "blue" so I guess you "blew" it. I would be concerned with WHY. Did you accidently short the alternator output wire?

well, since is blue I can't see any weird on the post LOL

and is not alternator output fuse, is battery source fuse actually

location changes with the year and body... maybe I can assume is a 68/70 B body ? since is the one going straight to bulkhead?

if you look at back of bulkhead down the dash it must meet the RED THICK WIRE running to ammeter

If you're not concerned about keeping the car original, you can get a universal fusible link kit at Autozone.

Once again Nacho has made huge mistake. If let's say the OP was working on the car, and let's say shorted the alternator post with a wrench to ground, guess what?

That is either going to blow the fuse link or melt the harness. So you cannot say it's not associated with the alternator. I was simply using that as an obvious example.

TO GET BACK ON TRACK I would be concerned with WHY you blew the fuse. I've seen these cars went 30-40 years without ever blowing one.

Could be "something you did" could be an alternator developing serious troubles, but sometimes these fuses have corroded badly and failed. The point is please find out why.

I blew the fuse when I was screwing around with the dash, I didnt disconnect the batt and the headlight switch prongs hit the metal dash frame. the original wiring was hacked and I replaced a dried up yellow wire with the blue link, I like the blue link because it looks like the proper gauge to alt power ratio, and it obviously works lol. I took some really nice clear pics of all my electical repairs but the pc they're on went catatonic so I need to see the port it plugged into on the bulk head connector.

thanks for the autozone tip, I didnt know they carried them

if you short out with alt stud still the fuse link cuts the batt power not the alt power ;) Even more if the engine is not running.

The only source able to keep feeding a short is the batt not the alt... if the alt was the only source power on car, without a batt, on a short the engine will stall and the short will finish ;) Thats why the fuse link is between batt and splice inside the cab ( through ammeter ), and not on alt side

I can't see where is the huge mistake ;)

forwhatever reason he could blow the fuse link ( true something to be checked, like you said ), the question was where to find and where it goes ;) LOL...

Nach stop being an ***. Just stop. That fuse link breaks the battery power. IF YOU SHORT the alternator wire, it WILL BLOW that fuse link. Period. Stop the terminology war. All I did was use that as an example. IF THE ALTERNATOR develops and internal short (and they have do and can and will) that will blow the link.

Your local auto parts store will have the Chrysler fusible links, both blue and brown ..... I believe they are 12g and 14g ? ..

I too recommend Bill and Rose Evans Erie, Pa at the link listed above. Absolutely first class material, reasonable prices, quick delivery. They even do custom harness for just about all mopars.
Cheers,

I found some at napa, also found the male blade bulkhead terminals there
