Hi...saw these headlights on a 1969 Dart...has anyone put them in their car? If so what brand did you use to get that blue tint? I'm thinking they would look cool on my 73 RR...do you get just the bulb or the whole light?...Marla:tied up:

Just my 2 cents here.....but i'm thinking that is no sort of blue tint. Looks like an outer ring with some sort of blue light source in a sealed unit. Those are obviously aftermarket Lamp housings for HID/Halogen type lighting. I believe some folks call that additional light source option "angel eyes"

Best of luck to ya

Late model cars can just use a replacement bulb (halogen) that can be found at any chromed-plastic-cobra-head-shift-knob store, like AutoZone, WalMart, or Pep Boys. To convert to halogen or HID you gotta ditch the sealed beams altogether and replace em with new units. I've seen the "halo" lights in a JCWhitney catalog, but couldn't vouch for their quality. I believe a magazine like StreetRodder would probably have the vendor you want for those. I've seen tinted sealed beams in blue, red and yellow, but they were on old emergency vehicles and drag cars, nothing recent.

Right...gotcha

:downtown:Okay...thanks for the responses...they are a ring that goes around the light...looked cool, but why bother? Marla

Angel Eyes, Eh?

I believe these are the proper ones you speak of?? (as he says with his most pithy english accent)

lol

i like the blue on old MoPars! the orange/amber ones look tuff too.

You better check it out good before you order any of these new headlights. They take a lot more electrical power than our old cars have or are equipped to handle with the wiring they have.

Use a relay, they'll be okay. Check the installation instructions for amperage requirements. If you can't read whatever language the instructions are in.....pass.

After researching these lights and listening to some great advice from you guys I decided to bag the idea of blue tinted lights. Marla...PS...would I be considered a heretic posting a photo of our 1965 Galaxie 500?

Wow! Outstanding, Ford or not! I think we can all here appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes into keeping/ maintaining/ restoring a car like that regardless of make.
