Saw a ‘65 Belvedere with bolt on Sub frame connectors and found it interesting. Anyone ever see anything like this? Wonder if these are later model frame connectors or a custom made set.

At one time Mancini Racing sold the early "B" bolt in frame connectors.
I bought a set and installed them in my 65 back in 2000.
Forgot to say that tho they were bolt in, I welded mine in.

I found it interesting how the rear shocks were mounted. I'll bet that was done for tailpipe clearance.

Night to day difference between the bolt on and weld in.

I have the bolt in. I bought them from u s.cartool, they have been discontinued. I put them in my 67 belvedere, it's not a high horsepower drag car. I figured the extra rigidity wouldn't hurt. Btw 383 big block.

Yep, bolt in's are better than nothing but not as good as the weld in's. Connectors that are attached to the floor pan are the strongest whether it's rectangular tubing or the US Car Tool style. I like the looks of those myself but they are a bit more involved to install on a finished car.

The USCT connectors look like factory stuff. (like above)

I bought mine from Summit and they were set for either or. I went the bolt on route knowing if I wanted to weld them later - no problem.

I bought the bolt ins years ago for my 69 Dart. I did weld them in though. I now have the newer weld ins for my 65 Belvedere. I will weld them in in the spring.
