Ok let me ask my question in a different way on a different thread. What are these for on a 70 b-body and where can I get some?

What car is that? I believe some 70’s (charger?) had heat shields for exhaust that may bolt to those.

My 69 road runner doesn’t have them. On mine it looks more like entering tabs to located the gas tank properly?

My car is a 70 Satellite Conv. The picture I posted was is from a 70 RR Conv. Could be for exhaust heat shields.

I read about these blocks a few years ago. For the life of me I can’t remember where the article was, nor can I find it.

I believe they were something to do with crash/impact protection of the fuel tank. Meaning in the event of a crash those would allow the tank to shift sideways potentially minimizing the chance of the fuel tank rupturing. Making your own out of plastic bar stock would probably be the easiest solution if you need some.

Hmmm.....I have to double check, but I don't believe my car has those ??? I never had any type of heat shield on my exhaust. I do have an odd looking braket on the passenger side of the trunk that sort of looks like an attachment point for a Hemi resonator or something like that?
