I bought a new booster since the studs snapped off my old one, apparently i am missing a bushing for the link between the booster and pedal assembly. I had to give my old booster for a core, so i can't compare the new to the old.

Is there a bushing here to begin with and where can i find this part?

Thanks!!!

There is a bushing that goes in the power brake booster push rod.

any idea where i can find one? i checked rock auto and googled "brake booster bushing," "brake pedal bushing," "mopar brake bushing,"...nothing so far....

I'm missing the same part, the last person to put mine together probably did the same thing you did and just said screw it. I always wondered why the brakes were so damn bad :angry1:.

hopefully someone on here has an answer!!!

The bushing that goes here guys, i'm sure someone on here's got a parts break down or a shop manual that can give us a lead.

The only thing that goes thru the hole is a special shouldered bolt with a nut. You can get one off any PS car (Mopar) in a junk yard. The bushing you refer to, is for the pivot points that this shouldered bolt attaches. I can take pics later at home, and try to post them. I still have 2 new bushings, and the part number is 2467770.

Here's a picture of an extra booster I have. I pulled the bushing out a little.

If you refer to the above pics, the plastic bushings I am talking about are the white ones on the pivot assy (bottom). As far as the other metal bushing is concerned, either get one from a junk yard, or find a buddy with a lathe to make you one. It is as simple as apple pie...:toothy5:

Here are some more pics of the bushing. It has the same dimensions as the larger shouldered bolt, just without the head and threads. The hole thru it is for a 5/16" bolt.

69Bee, i've got the white plastic bushings and the correct bolt for the booster. Would you know the part number for the larger metal bushing (with the o-ring)?

I don't know anyone with a lathe, you would think this is a part that people would need periodically (like 67Satellite)

The part number for the bushing is: 2534346

As far as someone having a lathe: http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?t=31842 :toothy5:

If you can't find one, I could make one for you, but any local machine shop could easily do the same.

Thanks -

I found a website that had one for $10, so i ordered it. i called the dealerships and they couldn't find it by part number.

Nice looking shop, btw.

Thought i would provide this to save people from searching on thier own. I found the bushing at

http://collectorsautosupply.com

They had a ton of hard to find parts, i ordered some other bushings as well. The shipping was 3 weeks but i got the right part and i wasn't in a hurry.

On my way to this site, i found some other useful sites if you have old part numbers and it saved me a lot of trouble. I tried dealerships but they didn't have any cross reference for the older part numbers.

Here is what i did: i searched "old mopar part numbers" and got to this site:

http://www.allpar.com/mopar/parts-guide.html

then i went here:

http://www.partsvoice.com/partsearch

and entered PN 2534346, Chrysler

hope it helps.
