I'm looking to buy a brake light switch for a car with cruise control.

This is what I'm looking for, or any cross reference to this #. I just installed the one you see. For some reason they only last about 5 years for me. I looked briefly today and have not found any locally. This goes on my Superbird. The car was bought new in 71, the cruise was dealer added, so most of the cruise parts are 71 Mopar on the ones I have checked. This switch # comes up 74 Dodge Monaco with cruise control.

I've found a listing https://www.stockwiseauto.com/bwd-s375-brake-light-switch for the same switch from BWD, but it's out of stock and BWD's own website no longer shows it as a product.
Exactly my problem, I guess I'm going to have to find the Mopar part number and hunt for a NOS one or another cross reference. I looked at one on Oreilys computer this afternoon that looks exactly the same except the connector. They ordered it and if it tests the same I can unpin the connectors and put the right one on. I always like to have a spare of things, especially old electrical parts.

The good thing is, I had the one spare and its not broken now. I'm going to Welborn's tomorrow so everything is working. All checked out and ready to roll in the morning.

Gives the good OE part number and here's one a BIT cheaper.. before postage anyhow. I could buy your listing shipped cheaper than this one with 50 bucks to me for postage on it.. https://www.ebay.com/p/1711261718?iid=293361001761

I saw a few others listed but thats the only one I saw with the Mopar box.... I have one in my stash with the box but like you I keep hard to find spares... I actually loaned my NOS no box owned by me since the 70's switch to a buddy & he replaced it a few months later with one in the box...

Last trip cost me almost 8 grand Canuck in fuel, food and hotels so doubtful and the border is still closed...
