I have a 1965 coronet 440. everynow and then after i drive the brake light stay on. i pull the pedal back and then they go off. what do i need to replace. i am new to Mopars and classic cars, so any suggestions help. thanks

check the adjustment on the switch but the fact that you can pull up the pedal says you might need a return spring or some master cylnder work

Yeah the pedal really doesn't have a "recoil to it". i mean i will come up on its own after a few seconds, but the brake lights will stay on unless i physically pull the pedal all the way back with my foot.

If i checked the adjustment on the switch, what would i do or look for, im sorry im new to these old school parts

Thanks

At the top of the brake pedal, you'll see the 2 wire brake switch. the depth of the switch to the pedal is adjustable.
