Hello

In the parts catalog is a spiral spring pictured for the brake pedal.
Who maybe has a photo where bzw.wie looks this spring or is attached?
Is for 1969 B-body.
Maybe even with the reference source for the spring.

Or this music to the clutch pedal?
A return spring for the brake pedal should actually exist?

best regards

Franz

probably the anti-rattle spring. there's no return springs i know of.

5-100-15 Spring, power brake lever pushrod 2534228

I do not recall ever seeing it either. The best explanation I can give is it keeps the pedal from leaning on the power booster linkage.

pretty sure that's just an anti-rattle spring. I can say this - my dad's brakes kept hanging up on his 68 vette, so he suspected a similar 'return spring' as the culprit. after tearing apart his dash to get at the spring, turned out it was a bad master cylinder. All those springs generally do is keep just a bit of tension on the pedal to keep it from rattling, the m/c's mechanism is what is supposed to push back on the pedal, keeping it off the booster.

That spring goes from a hole on the top flat part of Bracket 5-31-15 on your drawing, to the notch in the rod as shown on my drawing.
My car has it in place and it's an anti rattle spring.

Hello

Thanks for the Info.
I have no brake booster and have what is on the drawing to see this linkage does not apply for me probably the anti rattle spring!

best regards

Franz

That pic above it to show how the spring clip is used to help support push rod, on power and manual brake cars.
