looking at another project, the guy has welded in new floors using brazing rod.
i used to see this sort of thing wayyyyy bitd, but this is new to me.
the main question is,is it Safe??
Like anything if it is done right it is ok. I take it you never tried to remove a good braze job. It is as good as a weld but it will flex a little before it will come loose because it is softer where mild steel wire wont. Very old school back when that is all they had. I once seen an old body man that used a brazing tip and regular wire. A lot of heat but man it was clean and smooth when he was done.
An old timer I knew used to repair 40s,50s and 60s
fenders with a brazing torch and wire coat hangers.
Had an add in Hemmings and stayed covered up with work.
