Afternoon all. I am replacing the break lines on my 1964 Dodge 440. I replacing the line from the master cylinder to the rear breaks. For the life of me I can not figure out how to install the clips the hold the bake line to the body, even checked Google! This is what the clip looks like.

If some one has a diagram or can explain installation, I would be very grateful. Thanks Wayne

The pointed part goes into a hole. That attatches the clip to the body. Then the line clips into the rounded part

Yup, the holes should be self-evident. Probably 18"(?) from each other?

And I'm pretty sure you install the clip in the hole first, then snap the line into the clip. If the line is in the clip it won't let the clip squeeze enough to go into the hole. Confused yet

The new clips I ordered for my '62 were junk. No spring to them. I ended up useing 5/16" self taping machine bolts with metal band clamps where the line needed the most support.

Here, a picture is worth a couple of beers!
