I posted this on another site and thought I would try this one as well. My drivers side door latch broke on my 500. There is a small spring broke in two on the mechanism within the door. I took the inner door panel off and peeked inside with a mirror. I think this spring keeps the striker wheel from spinning once the door is shut. I now have to push the door lock down, close the door and push the lock down again once in the car. From the outside, I have to do the same thing put I have to use my key to lock the door. The door has come open on me while traveling, which is scary. Has anyone had the same thing happen and what was a/the fix? Any aftermarket pieces/latches out there?
