I am working on a 70 bee. Notionally a bench seat car but now has 70 charger buckets that are going in. The previous owner replaced the floor pan and have the holes drilled for bucket seats. The problem is that the bucket seats lean way in towards the center console. The inside track is probably 1" low. What am I missing? No reinforcer plates but there will be. They seem flat? Help!

Forgot to mention.... Seats are on their designated sides and not reversed!

Do you have the round disc under the rails? and the plates do add a bit of height, I have a brand new set for sale if you want them... By the way I am putting 70 charger seats in my 70 bee, lol them are hands down the best seats made for a muscle car, and the coronet buckets were the worst, lol..

I have the discs but haven't put them in yet. I assume they go under all 4 bolts? If that is the case than it won't help. If they just go on the hump side than it would be just about perfect. No would be interested in those reinforcers

Damn autocorrect. I would be interested in the reinforcers

put some on the leaning side...none on the non leaning side to balance it out.....they are not mandatory on all sides if there is a noticeable tilt.....add some washers if needed also...simple fix

Weld in the inner reinforcement plates, and the round spacers and you should cure your lean.

I appreciate the help on this but I still can't get the seat to sit straight. I put no spacers on the door side and a round seat spacer and 3 washers on each of the inner (low side). It's still sitting slightly crooked and I'm out of threads on the tracks! Wth is going on???

Mine where leaning like yours but black spacers on the inside cured it with lots of thread left, 70 GTX so the floor is the same.
I do have the 6 way seat tracks, but that shouldn't matter, I'm wondering if your floor is out of shape?

I'm wondering if you have mis matched tracks. Like the outer ones taller than the inner ones.

The tracks are a lot different in size. Outside is much thicker than inside but that's the way the seats come from the factory

The floor has been replaced and is brand new.

This pic is just for reference.... Same tracks on my seats

Tracks are right for 70 Bee. Sounds to me more like an aftermarket floor- or reinforce plate problem.

You sure they are the right tracks? Some cars have lower tracks on the door side because there is a raised area there. The floor pan on the inner side is lower so the track is higher.

I'm not sure. The floor was replaced but looks to be accurate when comparing it o my 69

Just measured the floor on my 69 Coronet to get some A990 style seat brackets made. On driver side, the height difference between the inner and outer attaching points is 0.67" on my car.

That sounds about right but my charger seats have those already uneven tracks. I may just have to get longer bolts and use spacers
