1970 b body, trying to determine build date to assist in restoration. I don't have fender tag or door sticker but do have 2 build sheets and vin tag. Most parts on car have been replaced. Anyway to determine build date?

If I am not mistaken, as long as you have the build sheet, you can get close.
I believe the first 3 numbers/characters of the "vehicle order number" is the "scheduled build date", not when it was completed.
E or F series would be month and day.
Example below October 31 and September 17 (respectively)

Those would be the SCHEDULED build dates. The actual date of assembly could be before or after that date. Check any remaining date codes to see how they match up with your SPD.

I'm kinda confused on the first one (f series), how do you get Oct. from "A". Mine is f series, 1970, and the first 3 digits are A29. Does the "A" signify Jan. or Oct? Sorry if these sound like dumb questions but I do appriciate the help.

Oh, never mind I just figured it out, kinda feel stupid now. Thanks

Nope, not dumb, it can be confusing.
1=Jan, 2=Feb etc ..... 9=Sept, A=October, B=November, C=December.
So if yours is A29, the "Scheduled" build date is October 29, 1969 as the year starts in September.

Actually, builds start in August, so for 1969 model cars, the first ones off the line would be the first week of August 1968.

At the top of the build sheet, you'll see the series. The Series "A" was for the 1966 model year, regardless of car line. Then, 1967 was "B" and so on, so 1970 would be "F".
