I bought this jack without really researching it. The guy said it was for a 68 B body. After receiving it and really looking at it I have my doubts. I do know that the hook is correct. What do you guys think.

There are code numbers on the other side that will tell us what year it is. Also they repainted the base as you can see the sticker was painted over.

The hook should end in xxxx116.. The jack mast & base is from a 64-5 model as they used that tang to hold the hook instead of the rolled spring.. So basically it will do the job just nothing close to what a factory one would look like other than the hook..

The mast in your 68 is likely T-shaped as well.

I have a 70 runner jack in my trunk now. At least I got the correct hook. Yes it ends in 116.

Yes Most are the "Y" Mast but some had the tubular type. I have a wrecked little old lady 4dr 68 original paint car that had a date coded tube type mast...
