Anyone know of a decent rechrome company in the Chicago land area/Northwest Indiana. Got a quote for chrome on a 69 rr front bumper. company in Chicago. $1850.00. WTF!!!!!!

I had my Dart bumpers re chromed through my Keystone dealer. $750 for both and they are gorgeous!!

Bumper Boyz have done mine for years....some people bad mouth them but a 2 year guarantee is nice and I had one problem and they took care of it with no questions...never heard a bad thing about tri city except the time it takes to send and retrieve where BB has alot in stock and makes all the big shows

Keystone autobody supply. They come to my friend's shop. I just handed them the bumpers and they do the rest. Piece of cake!! They are a division of LKQ corporation and the rechroming is done in CA.

Yep, mine are now at the same place, getting straightened and top notch chrome. Local Keystone store sends them to their facility in Minnysota, and when done will be picked up at the same store. Saves a LOT on shipping.................................MO

My 64 Dodge bumpers were about $750 for the pair---and they are not small bumpers. My store had a book that Quoted the price depending on what your car is....................................MO

checked keystone front bumper alone $440.00. Prices are on there way up.

Yes sir. I had them done last year over the winter. It took about 8 weeks. The Keystone dude dropped them off to my friend's shop when they were done and I picked them up from him. It was like opening a Christmas gift! Mind you, my bumpers were in pretty good shape. Only 2 small dents on the rear. In hind sight, I should have had the bumper jack slots filled, but I forgot to notate that.
Mine were done in CA, but I understand LKQ purchased a rechroming outfit in MN and they are now done there.
I know a lot of people have had good luck with Tri-City, but not me. Sent my bumpers there from the Charger. Grind marks, wavy, terrible quality. I've sent my bumperetttes back 3 times now. I have decided to live with them, but will be going elsewhere if I need more rechroming done.
