Went to get my car aligned. Tech guys told me they couldn't do squat until I or they put in new bushings. They said if they did the alignment now, it would be messed up when i put the new bushings in. (Mine are crumbling)

Anyways... I've been looking for bushings and the only ones I've come across are these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ptp-4-101-bl/applications/year/1973

I'm wondering if you guys have ever replaced bushings... if so any tips on where to buy from for the best price. I need to buy them soon and have them shipped yesterday. Appointment for alignment is Monday.

Thanks,

Jake

P.S. Since my bearings were all wack my tire was rubbing on the inside. It's showing thread so my uncle offered to let me use his stock 1970 dodge rims off his super bee. Going to have a extreme rake and be a goof with different front rims. "Stay away from the curbs, I don't want those babies scratched!" It's a temporary fix until I get the front suspension figured out. Then In with the new and out with the old. I'll post pictures of the car with the times tomarrow if you all are interested!

Just ordered a set of Energy Suspension Poly bushings for my '65, don't know when they'll be in, but reviews are good, and I can let you know how they work out.

I ordered all mine through P-S-T. They are a sponsor of this site so you'll see one of thier banners on the right. All my bushing are polygraphite and the car feels awesome.

Ordered mine all through Autozone (actually, any parts store can get them) and had them the next day. As for Poly vs Rubber...some have tried both and said the ride will be noticably rougher with Poly bushings. I don't know, I replaced mine with rubber (OEM style).

I'm assuming you meant bushings for the front suspension (upper/ lower control arms and strut rods). Your link was to body mount bushings. While they will contribute to body movement, they won't effect front end alignment.
