Bushings

All new bushing control arms and strut rods now the ball joints don.t line up.New strut rod bushing longer than originals might have to use old bushings.

You didn't by chance get the upper control arms swapped did you?...right on left and left on right?

I'm thinking the difference you are seeing in strut rod bushings is due to the old ones being compressed for so many years. As I recall, mine were the same way (changed 3 years ago). I am not sure why you are having trouble getting the spindle reconnected to the ball joints.
