"Bush's War?"

Think of this video the next time you hear some twofaced Democrat talking about "Bush's War"

I hate to argue politics on a car site, but your point is totally lost here for one very basic reason. THEY FOUND NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

Regardless of weather or not he MAY have some day tried to develop them, we had no business sticking our nose in that countries business. I personally think he learned his lesson with regards to trying to wage war on anyone as powerful as the USA when we kicked his *** in the early 90s.

That entire war is no more than an opportunity for W., Cheney, and their cronies to get filthy rich, and you, I and the rest of the country in the middle class are paying for it with the state of affairs our country is now in. Lets see, in 8 years we went from a debt free country to being TRILLIONS of dollars in debt and our government borrowing money for the Chinese. OH yeah, those republicans have really done GREAT by us.:black_eye::(:mad::tongueflap::no::rolling:

The whole point is, the Dems would try to make you believe they never supported the idea of going to war. As far back as Clinton's administration we thought Sadam had WMDs.

SO......all these lying ******** like Hitlery need to go back and look at the videos of their OWN WORDS in support, and assertion there were WMDs which were supposedly sent to Syria before the war started.

oh my god..

696pack, I agree with you and I'm a republican.

It makes no difference if the dems were wrong or not, all that means is both they and Bush were wrong. if Bush hadn't fed them only the info he wanted them to hear would they have still screwed up? who knows .

I expect after Bush leaves office a lot more information will come out about this, it won't be pretty from the Bush legacy standpoint.

Remember...this all started with CLINTON.

Not Bush.

But it's convenient to forget that fact.

And it was CLINTON who first took a shot at (and missed) Bin Laden

NOT Bush

if you want to point a finger
put it in the right direction...

a guy named GREENSPAN is who put us in alot of this mess by ignoring many things for years that were very obvious and giving the financial world a free reign..
meanwhile they ignored the manufacturing base..
the end result is where we are today...

All I can add to this is this is a two party system. They both have three things in common ..Get reelected make more money and here is the important one,
neither gives a crap about the middle class working stiff thats right neither one.
Sorry but I can't support leadership that sends good jobs to china and imports tens of millions of poor people to undercut the rest. They both suck. I hope they
take it where the sun don't shine for douching us so bad. There is alot more I'd like to add to this subject but it aint gonna help anything. Taking a deep breath
and letting it go.

For YEARS, he HAD them. They had been seen, PHOTOGRAPHED, and CATALOGUED by UN inspectors for years. But as insane as Saddam was, he wasn't a total idiot. He saw the end coming. In the MONTHS of UN hearings before we went in, he had ample time and opportunity, after kicking out the UN inspectors to get rid of what he had left. It always amazes me how the liberals can say that "he didn't have any WMD's". He used tested them ON HIS PEOPLE for God's sake.

If he got rid of the WMD's then he didn't have them when we attacked Iraq, therefore he didn't have WMD's. we had to get the inspectors out before we could start bombing, how much sense does that make? Blix was begging us to hold off because the UN inspectors were being granted access to the places they had been denied earlier. we aren't going to change history arguing about what could have been, but I say history will show the Iraq war to be one of the biggest blunders in US history. just watch.

these buttholes would be the racing to be first in front of the camera sayin "i told ya so"

THAT point I can not argue. I have to agree. However, if you recall correctly, we did not pull the inspectors out so that we could bomb. We decided he needed bombing b/c he kicked out the inspectors NUMEROUS times. Myself, I think he needed it this time, almost as much as he needed it in 1990. My one real gripe about the 1st Pres Bush was that he didn't finish the job when he went in. People like to say that, "if we had sent the inspectors back...etc, we wouldn't have needed to invade". To which I say, if we had finished the job properly the first time we were there, we wouldn't be there again. But the fact still remains that he DID have them. He proved it HIMSELF by using them AGAINST HIS OWN PEOPLE.

The only other thing I am going to say about this is that if "W" was a true American and not just interested in lining his own pockets he would have spent these resources chasing and killing Bin Ladin. Let's not loose sight of what is really important and who the real threat is.

.......and you honestly believe that all of those thousands of WMD's that we KNOW existed, were not hauled away to surrounding countries (especially Syria, where some have actually been found) during the time that the Congress argued and whined and stonewalled.....?????

You're telling me that you honestly believe this ?????????????????????

I doubt that we've stopped looking for Bin Laden. BUT...the media in this country of compromising operations and security in the name of "breaking a story". They don't give a **** who could be caught or killed as a result of their reporting, as long as THEY are the ones breaking the news first.

Once upon a time there was a bit of national pride and integrity. Once upon a time the newspapers (cause there really wasn't any tv) understood they could cause harm by revealing details of "secret operations".

But that has all gone out the window. And we let it happen. WE don't want the enemy to know what WE are doing. And some fuckin "journalist" couldn't care less if they get someone killed. In fact, they probably look at it as being a better story.

So hopefully, HOPEFULLY there are still things going on in the war on terror that we know nothing about. Hopefully the government can keep them secret. And HOPEFULLY they can all be done before some asshole reporter splashes it all over the news telling the bad guys who what when where and how we're fixin to **** them up good.

But I suppose all you pinko commie liberal MoFo's think it's their RIGHT to report, no matter what the consequences.

Apologies to the group as a whole for my strong language. But when dealing with idiots, you have to use language they can understand

So for those who think Iraq helped anything in the war on terror prove it, Afghanistan, Pakistan and even Iraq are a mess today and Bin Laden is still making movies.

If we had kept our eye on the ball and stayed after Bin Laden, the Taliban and al Qeada we'd be way better off than we are today. Iraq was supposed to be ground zero on the war on terror, BS, we're no safer today than we were pre 9/11.

If you can't accept the facts you can't learn from your mistakes, the facts are Iraq had NO WMD's at the time we attacked them and Hans Blix and his inspectors were IN IRAQ verifiying that as we decided to bomb Baghdad. if not being a kool aid drinking idiot makes me a traitor so be it, the majority of Americans feel as I do and that's going to have a huge impact on this falls elections. I'm a republican from a small western town, but unfortunetly for the republican party I'm not a party line idiot. as much as I dislike Obama I like him better than Bush or McBush.

I agree with what both sides are saying here in many instances.

1. All of our past and current presidents have lined their pockets through the power of their office, some more than others. But you have to look at the state of our economy and how their specific thieving has effected it for the masses.

2. Yes, certainly we are still looking for Bin Laden but far more of our resources are being WASTED on this never ending war INCLUDING lives of our youth.

3. It is a slippery slope to limit free press and free speech for our country, but I do agree that in a military action there should be some limits to there involvement and ability to report the day to day actions that have intellegence concequencies. I just don't know where you draw the line without us giving up far greater rights for other things that these civil rights were intended to protect. Our Patriot Act is a GREAT example of abuses of our rights. I suggest for those of you that have not read it in it's entirity that you do so. You will be amazed at what you has American citizens have lost and the rights of privacy that are at risk for us.

4. How many of you have ever actually VISITED the middle east personally? I HAVE. I can tell you that the vast majority of these native people don't like us, don't want us involved in their politics, culture, or economy. Their dictators simply use the USA to THEIR convenience and the masses see little of the benefit that we try to provide them.

5. The bottom line is that we need to DEFEND our own country and not ASSuME things that are going on in other countries. The UN needs to be more forceful in their existing policies but there are too many pussy nations involved that don't support them. We need to take better care of OUR country before we start trying to feed and support the world. Charity begins at home and many of use have seemed to have forgotten this.

6. It is hard to try and take charge of nuculear weapons of other countries in order to protect our own country from them without looking like a bully to the world since WE have the largest supply of them in the world.

7. The really scary thing is how susceptible our country is to simply attach from such things as chemical attack that can kill more of us than a bomb. We need to be spending more money on protection of our borders, water supplies, nuculear power plants, etc. THIS is where we are really vulnerable. Stop wasting money in Iraq on something that is OVER and start chasing the guys that have aleady PROVEN what they can do within our borders. Offering 25 million dollar rewards for giving up Bin Ladin does no good. The people that do not support him that MAY have some idea of where he is don't get newspapers, the Internet, etc. because they are spending every last dime on food for their families an really have no idea of what is going on outside of their village. His supporters are brainwashed by his babble and will never give him up.

I said I was done commenting on this and you SUCKED ME BACK IN. I don't believe an auto enthusiest discussion board is the place for any of this as there are plenty of Internet space for this subject as it's main focus so I am now done, rant over.
