This is a fiberglass door from the Hemi powered Duster that Butch Leal race in NHRA B/MP I believe in 1976. This is a very high quality door & extremely light weight. Ok here’s the deal. This door being fiberglass so it was not legal in B/MP & my understanding is Butch only raced this car 1 season so obviously this door was not on the car when Butch raced it. The car was sold to a sportsman racer. I bought the door from Denny Laube who makes a lot of trick A body parts for racers. Denny bought the car off EBAY & it had a lot of glass parts. He wanted to return the car back to original all steel as Butch had raced it so he offered up the glass parts. Much of the parts went to a collector in New Zealand & he cherishes them. The other door to a sports bar in Pennsylvania is my understanding. That leaves this door which is hanging on the wall in my den. I am offering it up for sale & im quite confident it’s the only item available for sale. The condition is not quite excellent as I did notice a slight crack in the paint the other day while dusting it. This is an excellent man cave or sports bar item & it is authentic. Great holiday item for that old school drag racing fan. Please before you leave any rediculas negative comments please PM me directly with your issue. You can verify this with Denny if you so chose or his brother John. They are great people. If you don’t like my price please move along as I believe strongly in capitalism & I & only I will change the price up or down as I see fit. $1200 pick up at my shop in Youngsville, NC
I want to clarify something. fiberglass was NOT legal in B/MP which is were Butch raced this car so that’s why it was returned to steel.
