I have SS springs and was thinking about swapping to Mono leaf setup. I was curious, do the mono leafs just bolt into the same spring hanger mounts that the SS are?

I'm pretty sure the mono leaf is a 22" leaf front section for a B-Body & the S/S springs had a different front spring hanger for a 20" front leaf section on a B-Body "If I remember correctly".... "Don't quote me on that", but I seem to remeber something like that, They sell them both ways "I believe" in 20" & 22" , for all A, B & E bodies, you need to know what type of front hangers your going to use for what spring section length... I would suggest you call Calvert/CalTracs & ask them for sure... do you know what front hanger you have now ?, is it the stock style hangers ?, or the one with 2 ajustment holes in it ?, kind of triangled shaped & the holes like 4"s towards the back of the car on the bottom, away from the 4 bolt mounting area that holds the front spring hangers in place {if you understand that, the way I explained it}... I have used the mono leafs on B-Bodies {it lowers the car about an 1" or more, also used them with a roller front slider for the front spring mount, from Mancini Racing, in the past with decent success... Mancini Racing web site has photos of each on thier parts pages maybe you could ID them that way also... Good luck & Happy Moparing

I was wondering the same thing... I just put mine together last summer using S/S springs and the two hole front spring pearch setup.
I think most of us have found that the rear end actualy went back further than it should have with this setup, and mine seems to be an inch or so off. I noticed this when I put my driveshaft back in place and the wear "not dirty" section was sticking out some with everything bolted up in the rear U-joint assy.
I wondered if this would affect the Mono-Spring installation for the good or bad regarding this discrepancy with the current setup? I also wondered, but never checked, if using the top hole would bring the driveshaft back to the original location because the car wouldn't be setting as high thus the rear would be up closer and the distance needed to span between the trans and rear would be reduced some.
Anyhow, I'm anxious and waiting to hear the results of the Caltrac Spring options using S/S front hangers!!!!

Unfortunately I'm using the stock front hanger so no info with the two hole set up. I ran into the situation use described and took everything out and sold it before even trying as I didn't like the way the car sat- too high in the rear and shackles pointing foward.
I can tell you that the 22 inch front section is what I have and I also use stock rear shackles. The are articulated correctly- straight up and down with a little tilt to the rear so when launching they allow movement foward.
I purchased the springs and Caltrac bars from Calvert directly with great customer service. I'm using QA-1 adjustalbe shocks as well. 1.44 best 60 ft so far at 3750 lbs. 10.27@ 131.56 best pass so far.
