Camshaft for my 1968 Coronet R/T

I had my 1968 Coronet R/T's 440 cid engine stroked to a 512 and the machine shop used this cam shaft. Can anyone tell me if it is a good shaft for it? I assume it is a hydraulic roller.

Based on the numbers/graph that thing is a torque monster. To me, that cam performs pretty good. Not knowing the rest of your setup it's hard to say how your car performs. 440'
 
My 500 had a similar cam 236/242. It was a torque monster and was great on the street.
 
Looks like a flat tappet hydraulic, custom ordered. the 23-000-5 indicates a chrysler 3-bolt flat tappet cam core. The 5208/5229 lobes seem to be from the "Magnum" hydraulic lobe chart with the specs mentioned on the card, but I'm not sure what the "B" suffix is for?

Nice power curve. Must have some good cylinder heads on that engine.
 
Yes, they are Indy EZ-1 heads that were ported

Are you sure that cam card is correct? Pretty Small cam for a 512 with not much lift, its a bit strange to custom grind something that small? A 600hp engine with less the .5 lift is impressive.
Compression??Intake???1.6 rockers?

According to your dyno sheet, It makes 600 hp under 6,000 rpm with a FT hydraulic cam. Seems to be doing an OK job to me? BSFC is where it should be so this appears to be an efficient combo.

Why are you asking if it's a good cam? Is the motor in the car and not doping what you want it to do? What is the rest of the combo and what is the intended driving type?

I believe the H in the model number indicates flat tappet hydraulic. My comp hydraulic roller ended in HR. The lift seems consistent with a flat tappet hydraulic.
 
The cam seems a little small for the cubic inches, but there is nothing wrong with that torque curve and 600 hp under 6K rpm.
As for FT cam, as long as the builder broke in the engine correctly and you continue to use high zddp oil, you'll be fine. I'm running a FT cam one size larger with more lift than yours in a stock stroke 440 and the Coronet wants to go sideways just hitting the Go pedal half-ways. You're going to enjoy that engine.
 
I have heard nothing but good stuff about the place you had build the motor. They know what they are doing, you should have nothing to worry about. If I have another built, it will be at Wheeler.

If it was run on a dyno, it was broken in on the dyno. If the cam was going to go flat, it would be within the first minute of operation.

It's hydraulic FT alright. Magnum (.842) lobes. What's interesting to me, the 'B' suffix after the lobe number was used on roller lobes for specifying journal sizes, but that doesn't mean they haven't changed their numbering or added that feature to standard lobes since my catalog. Like someone else mentioned the 'H' after the lobe numbers is for hydraulic....ooh you know who "might" know about Comp's lobes? @PRHeads

Yes and no....1969 needs to continue to run the proper oil or it can go flat in the future.
 
journal size, or base circle size?
Mine showed it as a journal size spec--but see it's only for roller lobes. The page that lists OPs "5908" lobe doesn't show the suffix options. Roller lobe page does but the lobe numbers are totally different.

Good luck 1969! Looks like a beast. Hell I can't hook my 505" worth ratfarts on the street and I don't think I'm pulling those kind of numbers. More cam and carb but with Edelbrock heads.
