Its is all in the car is a 72 roadrunner with a 400ci and a 8³/4 . What is happening is I am have trouble bleeding the slave cylinder. When i strat to bleed it the peddle never gets hard and it lecks the fluid out from the bottom of the bell house. I am using one from a 2000 ls z28. I wonder if I need to us a different slave cylinder. That's all I need once that done Ican go ahead and fit the road. Does someone have I idea what my be happening.
If the slave is leaking i would think you need a new one. Or a line is loose and leaking. Sorry to say the trans sounds like it needs to come out to inspect
I am using a quick time bell housing meloud flywheel I made my own cross member from the factory one 28 spline 11" gm clutch but I cannot bleed this thing. I am wondering if it is extending to far and not getting to the P-plate. If I put the car in gear and hit the key it moves???????????????

Man I have taken this thing out so many times It comes out by it self LOL. I just need to now if I need a a different slave cylinder or a idea on how to bleed this
Good read with good info. This is not the only post that has good info on this conversion. If you google it there or 4-5 good threads discussing the issues people have had and what it took to fix them.
If the slave cylinder is anything like the Viper T-56, you will need to put a spacer behind the slave to get it closer to the pressure plate. The slave is likely over-extending and allowing fluid out. I don't know what the measurement will be but the throw out bearing should be touching the pressure plate and the slave should be around the middle of its travel while at rest. I hope this helps.
