many years ago, these speakers were removed from the dash of my car, and replaced with Sanyo 2-Watt tweeters. Is there anyone out there who repairs these, so that one day they might be re-installed where they belong with my 8-track.

Why not upgrade? You have the covers.

X2 - with all the great advances they've made in speaker technology, why not get the latest and greatest so you can hear it and have better sound ?

( that's just my $0.02 - and that's about all it's worth . . . ) ( smile )

Part of the reason for going original was that I have all the other components (I believe) including the crossover and fader to make the original sound. Modern speakers are hard to find in the correct impedance and wattage, but I thank you guys all for your input. :headbang:

I hear ya man. I hate my new record player, it sounds like crap. The old huge players just play the vinyl better, cracking and popping. If I want crisp I will use digital. But old records should sound old.

well dunno in USA but down here in Venezuela, speaker rebuilt services are not uncommon. Easy to come by just waliking around.
