Can you weld qtr panel extension crack

I have a small crack in my 69 roadrunner qtr panel extension,can it be welded? Thanks

i believe those are made of pot metal...if they are....then no...you cant weld it.....if im wrong about the pot metal....then im an idiot and dont know what im talking about...lol

I think you are correct and there so many parts cars i would look for another one.

Seriously though don't even try to repair it, just buy a good used one or a dozen.

I agree, I have a 69 charger and it has pot metal extensions. I needed to add a little material to mine because they didn't quite match the quarter so I used ALL METAL filler, if you were sure it wouldn't be stressed you could V it out and use something like that. Don't be afraid to try just make sure you test it's strength before you paint it.
