Canopy Vinyl Trim

1: Does anyone know where I could get the trim for the 71-72 satellite canopy top?

2: If not, could I make it by modifying the rear window trim or charger vinyl trim?

i don't know where to find it
but you should know the 71 trim is different then 72.
71-textured
72-chrome
i doubt you could create it from something else.
i have seen both for sale on ebay from time to time..

Sorry, I don't believe it is being reproduced yet. eBay, forum parts wanted, and salvage yards are your best bet.

Could anyone post a picture of the trim piece on the car or the canopy top without the trim? I would like to see the contour of the metal and placement. If the front or rear window trim is similar, I might try to reshape it and make it work.

WM23 referred me here, I have a full canopy vinyl trim set for a '72 Charger, it's only missing one of the quarter window trim. I'll try to get a picture of the trim asap, a friend of mine has the car and is supposed to take the trim off for me.

72 Satellite.Road Runner and GTX trim is NOT the same as Charger.
Put a want ad on the board and Moparts and you will find it. Also search Ebay. Converted my car from full Vinyl to Canopy this past winter and that's how I found it.
You cannot make the trim with windshield trim!

I thought the top pieces were the same. I'm sure any quarter window trim would be different. I learn something new everyday.

If you can get a picture of the charger trim maybe we can see if it will work in substitute? I will have to find a way to put the clip pegs back on the roof, mine have since been ground off so I dont necessarily need that to line up with the factory Roadrunner
