Any negativity's about having your build sheet laminated? The one for my 64 is starting to show it's age and getting fragile.

I had mine copied on a colored copier and had the copy laminated. The original now stays in my file in the house.

So even though it's slowly falling apart it's better to let is do this than have it laminated where it will be protected.

I'm not looking for a copy that I can wave around and say hey look what I have, I just want to protect it. In doing so though I don't want to do something that will make it of no value to the car later on.

Yes I could stick in in a book or something to protect it I suppose.

Different people have different opinions.

If you put it in a plastic sleeve you have to make sure it is an "acid free" one.

I have the sheet for both my 66 Hemi car and for my 69 six pack car. The 66 is in much better shape as it was found under the rubber floor mat on the raised portion of the floor under the seat cushion part of the seat and not subjected to any water leakage damage. That one I just keep in a folder and have made copies of it. My 69 was in the springs of the rear seat and previous owner removed it. It has spring marks, tears, holes and black spots all over it. It was in really bad shape so I had it laminated.

Paper will turn yellow or brown and eventually turn to dust depending on the humidity, sunlight, etc. The only way to stop it is to eliminate the exposure to oxygen, lamination does this. If you have one in bad shape such as mine that is what I suggest.

Inserting it into an acid free clear binder sheet is as effective as laminating it and not so permanent. The opening can be taped to seal.
