I tried searching this site but didn't see anything related....
I was wondering if anyone has ever used the vinyl car wraps to change the color of their car?
I can see it mostly used as a temporary thing while saving money for a complete paint job.

If anyone has any experience using it, I'd love to hear about satisfaction with the product and the cost associated.

Thanks
Todd

I've seen several around the Vancouver area, mostly BMW and Lexus type of cars. At $2,500 - 3,500 for a wrap, it's not that cheap.

One of our owners, Charles, has a brother that runs a sign and graphics shop and they do car wraps. They did our signs for the transmission shop and even the graphics on the side of Ancient Orange's enclosed trailer. They have lots of picture on their site including vehicles.

Had a couple of old race car & trailer done in 2005 for $2500 each, including installation, but that was a discounted prices, for advertisement on the car/trailers {I've since sold car & trailer, the company out of Rancho Murieta Ca., is no longer in business, the Owners divorce split it up}}... & They aren't cheap, it is allot faster than a typical paint job thou, I really doubt they will last all that long on a daily driver exposed to, sun, rain, heat & cold, snow & ice or dirt/mud either... they should also be professionally done/installed too, they spray with a solution, then they need to be squeegeed, stretched & heated, molded around edges & peaks/radius's & valleys/contours etc., to be properly installed & put over a smooth, flat, clean, surface too... sorry no photos available

I've looked into wraps for delivery vehicles. Above quotes are correct- $2000-$4000 is what I got told. It's not a realistic option to be "used as a temporary thing while saving money for a complete paint job." since it costs a ton, and it will peel and bubble over time. Gotta be honest and say if it was a cheap option that worked well instead of painting, you'd see tons of cars wrapped. The only application I see it on is commercial vehicles/buses that have complicated schemes, images that need to be applied.

Save your money for a good paint job.
