We just got our 440 Satellite on the road and struggling a little with it wanting to die after romping into it for example at the end of the quarter mile when I let off it. That's when it dies
The carb is 1850 Holley 870 cfm street avenger series
Electric fuel pump
The car pulled hard all the way and did not starve for fuel that I could tell.
I don't know if it's flooding or starving for fuel.
Could be fuel level in float bowls?
It only dies after a hard pull at WOT.
The good news is she ran 14.2 at 101 in full street trim,
Thanks in advance

Flooding with the fuel bowls too high. Very common. Try lowering them a little.

Do you have a electric fuel pump? If so turn it off at the stripe and see if it stops.

Yes, electric pump. Will try it thank you

I tend to agree with the float issue. On the other side, are you using a pressure regulator along with your electric fuel pump and do you have a pressure gauge installed? I've seen where guys will put a gauge in temporary and tape it to the cowl just to have a visual. It's a quick easy to test that part of your fuel delivery system. It doesn't hurt to have a gauge anyway if you don't already have one.

if you can turn off the key right when it stalls you can use the sight plugs to see how much fuel is in the bowl.whole reason they made see through sight plugs.

I didn't know that thanks
