ok...I will be running the stock in line 2x4bbl intake and carbs i need to bring the carbs up on the mill. Don't really want to use the aftermarket spacers because it looks like .. so what is out there that i can put under the early 60's carters to give me 3/4 to 1 inch of room without looking like its patchwork. I can't remember what was used stock.... thanks

Curious why you need to raise the carbs?

I do not remember inline 4 barrels, except Hemi. Doesn't look like stock linkage, but, I would say elevate the linkage.

linkage clearence and i want to add some volume to the intake.
FYI....by adding volume to the intake manifold below the carb, will REDUCE the mixture VELOCITY by creating a pressure drop as the mixture expands.....and a slower mixture velocity can lead to uneven or non uniform cylinder filling. The idea is to keep the velocity high from the carb to the intake valve......just thought you might like to know the reason......
