I agree. I am however disappointed there were no pictures of Ken in his stylish headgear.:tiphat:

Pete, after a few hours baking on Friday, I bought the first big hat I could find! I'm glad I found it before we came across the velvet pimp hats. If the weather is the same next year, gonna get a big *** sombrero!

Great pics Ken , Too bad I missed the hat. How the heck did you find time to take 800 pics ??

Mitch, We spent the best part of the 4 days there walking the grounds, camera in hand. I set up the tent and chairs and maybe spent an hour or so each day there. With the heat, I know I missed some of the cars and didn't get into the Daisy Duke contest or the Miss Carlisle event and I sure didn't wait in line for hours to see the King. On Sunday morning we got to the car at 7AM and the line for the KIng was from the stage was started. By 9 AM it was back past the end of the Survivors tent and steadly growing. Richard started signing at 11 and was still at it when we left after 1.

Hahaha...you didn't see mine. I told my daughter I'm now officially an old fart as I broke down and bought a straw hat. It was nine dollars and I told the clerk I didn't give a **** if it was ninety dollars. Saturday afternoon was brutal.

Carlisle is a bit to far for me so I really appreciate the photos. Maybe someday.

I was lucky that I got in line early and it wasn't really too uncomfortable sitting there and with talking to the others the time went quickly. For me it was worth it to spend a few moments in the presence of royalty! After all, who knows when, or if, he may come up this way again!
