Carlisle & South Mountain Raceway this weekend!!!!!!!

Anyone going to South Mountain?? Friday is MOPAR vs THE WORLD. I'm going to the kickoff car show Thursday night,South Mountain all day Friday, and hangin at Carlisle on Saturday.
This will be the 1st time in years that I won't make it to the York Reunion.

So who's going??????

Its an 1/8th mile track. Not sure is youre going up hill or down hill, but after the traps you gotta hang a left. At least thats the way it was last time i was there. The track has been sold a few times now since then. Not sure if they changed that, or even could

The kickoff show has been at the Dodge store on the pike for years.This year it's just outside the fairgrounds near k street,,,,,,,,,or is it the k entrance.

So, Im standing inline waiting to meet Tom Wopat. For the second time in my life. The first was circa 1980 at the world of eheels car show in Baltimore when i was 5ish. The show was new. Still in first or second season.
When I was in kindergarten, the teacher did the usual "what do you want to be when you grow up?" She asked everyone, and was writing the answers on the chalkboard. Everyone was giving the same old fireman or policeman answer. I said Luke Duke. I wanted to be Luke Duke when i grew up. Funny thing is, fir a kid who didnt grow up in a car family at all (my mom had to teach my dad to drive stick) I kind of did. I didnt know what kind of car the general lee was and i didnt hear the term mopar til i was 12. Now i own a 68 charger. Close enough i suppose

The kickoff show was at the Carlisle expo center just outside the gate on "K" street.I was there with the Sublime green 70 Charger also with a blown HEMI.We were there for about an hour before it started raining:fit: Drove back to the motel in the rain:sign17:

Friday we South Mountain Raceway to make some 1/8 mile hits.The weather was HOT & HUMID!!
I brought 9 lbs of skirt steak,so we ate great and had a blast!!

Who is "we all"?? I have never fabricated a time slip. Is6.3's a 6.39 or a 6.31?? We were all in the 6's in the 1/8.
Not bad for a 3900lb street car.

You can try to bust my balls all you want.Next time,stop by my pit and have some skirt steak,,,,,,you'll feel better!

Thanks Jim,it's always been a street car and I drag it to the track when I can.
As far as the 4 cheerleaders,,,,,,,,,,even Charles Manson has BLIND followers. Some people only believe what they want to and never wake up. O'well,life goes on.

What happened to you?? did you make it? I was late toing back to the Motel the kickoff show due to rain. It cleared up,we recleaned the cars and went down.,,,,,,,,,,,Ended up driving back to the motel in the RAIN! No wipers,,,,,,E/T streets and a spool made for a white knuckle ride.

I never made it to the track. Spent all day at the fairgrounds and didnt see everything. Before i knew it it was time to head home. If i had known you had steak i would have made it a point to get over there. Lol.
