I'm buying a sound deadening mat about 1/4" thick and I'm wondering what is out there for the best carpet or is there much of a difference between what you see on ebay or jc whitney? I hear good and bad on Auto custom carpets. Let me know what you think.

I bought unmolded carpet of ebay and will probably redo it again with molded carpet second time around for a better fit. Costs a little more, but I think I found it it worth it.

I replaced the carpet in my 66 Barracuda with a set I got from ACC. It was the complete set including the area behind the back seat. The fit was perfect with only some minor trimming around the kick panels and I had to cut out for the shifter (4 speed with no console).
It was the first one I did and it came out real nice. Good quality, nice heel pad and good bright red color. That was about 12 years ago and the quality at that time was excellent. I'd use their stuff again.

ACC here with no problems, bought through YO.

Not a real fan of ACC here. The carpet was ok but I also ordered the factory style of sound deadener from them. It was as hard as a rock and when I unrolled it the junk busted in several places. I emailed there customer support and they never even answered me. It wasn't cheap to buy and I expected it to be better than the old original stuff I was replacing. I wont get anything from them again.

I was really pleased with Trim Parts molded carpet from Summit. I've used regular carpet in the past and will always buy molded when available, looks way better and is a breeze to install.

I tried Trim parts carpet and it wasn't worth a damn! I'll be replacing it soon. Totally disappointed.

what you looking into to replace it? ACC? I want to spend the money now with the quality sound deadener and nice plush carpet. It will just be a pain finding all the holes needed haha.

I used ACC with the heavy rubber mass backing attached. It fit excellent. I got it from Rock Auto, cheapest place I found on the web. Whoever you buy it from, it gets shipped from ACC directly, so pay the lowest you can find.

I really wish some would repo B body rubber mat.
Cursed carpet.
Helloooooooo.

What color are you looking for? I have a red/maroon new carpet never installed that you could have for CHEAP if that is your color. It is molded.
If interested LMK and I'll dig it out and take pics. In fact shoot me a PM.

I'd be interested in the maroon carpet if firstgenfan passes on it. Is it 80/20 loop?
My wife says I'm CHEAP as well.
I'm in New York, upstate.

80/20, yes. You're south of Rochester ... we could save on shipping. I'm in Syracuse. Let me get some pictures together. Email?

I just put my name on the order list for molded 80/20 loop carpets for my '67 GTX from ECS. They are never folded after manufacture so they will install easily and are shipped unfolded so cost is a little higher. ECS has a reputation for quality and correct detail and carpet has 5 inches of extra material around edges for good fit. Being that the carpet can make or break the interior I don't mind paying a little more. Buy once cry once...Below is a link for the never folded carpet:

Well Don, some lousy news. I dug out the carpet and its only the front piece of the two halves of the cab. I think I kept it because the guy who purchased it originally taken a couple pieces he needed. YUH! like all of them.
The front half with the heel pad near the accelerator is perfect but the back half has been cut up.
I guess I was thinking if someone had a Charger or Coronet that the front piece was worn, this would be all they need rather than buy an entire kit. It is maroon, 80/20 and molded as you can see from pics. If you want it you can have it!
